How to Block My IP Address From Being Traced .

Blocking your IP address from being traced is a good idea if you are trying to protect your privacy. While no one can actually find your name and street address with your IP address alone, a great deal of personal information can be gleaned from your IP address and that's enough to make some people want to keep it hidden. (In spite of what you may see on TV shows, even the government has to request that information from your Internet service provider---it's not on file elsewhere.) Fortunately, blocking an IP.


Instructions

    Use MegaProxy

  1. Open your favorite web browser and visit the MegProxy website.
  2. Enter the URL of the website you want to visit in the "Address" field.
  3. Click "Surf!" You will be taken to the website you want to visit and your IP address will not be revealed to the website.
  4. Use UltraSurf

  5. Open your favorite web browser and visit the UltraSurf website.
  6. Click the "Free Download" button.
  7. Extract the UltraSurf application from the zip archive by right clicking and selecting "Extract all."
  8. Double-click on the UltraSurf program. Internet Explorer will open and you will be surfing the web with your IP address hidden.
  9. Use Tor

  10. Visit the Tor website.
  11. Click "Download Tor."
  12. Select the "Tor Browser Bundle for Windows." Note: Mac and Linux users should choose the propriate system for their needs.
  13. Click "Save" when you are asked what to do with the file. Note: If the file doesn't start to download immediately, but instead an information bar appears, click it and select "Download file."
  14. Double-click the "Tor" file. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation. Use the Tor browser to surf anonymously.
